Mr. Jibu Joseph is a distinguished Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon renowned for his expertise in hip and knee surgeries. Education and Training

Mr. Joseph began his medical journey at the University of Glasgow, earning his undergraduate degree in medicine with commendation and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine. He completed his basic and higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery in the West of Scotland. He was recognised for his academic excellence and was awarded the Arthur Edward Burton Memorial Award for the highest mark in the Fellowship exam (FRCS Part I) in 2012. He achieved his FRCS (Tr & Orth) 2013, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. His extensive training includes fellowships in complex hip and knee arthroplasty and complex trauma and a traveling fellowship to Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa.

Professional Experience

Since becoming an NHS Consultant in 2015, Mr. Joseph has served at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow. His elective practice is focused on hip and knee conditions, performing various replacements, including complex and revision procedures. He regularly uses microsurgical techniques and laser technology to enhance patient outcomes.

Mr. Joseph is a skilled surgeon and an active contributor to the medical community. He is a faculty member and chair of several courses, including the AO Basic Principles and AO Current Concepts (advanced trauma course). He also chairs the Principles of Intra-medullary Nailing and FRCS Virtual Preparatory Course series (Strker) and is a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Society (OTS) education committee.
