Keith Hussey, Vascular Surgeon

Keith Hussey serves as a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. He graduated from Dundee University and underwent postgraduate training in the northeast of Scotland, followed by additional training in Glasgow. After completing his training, he gained valuable experience during a 14-month tenure at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia. It was during this period that he cultivated a keen interest in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy.

Keith’s Educational History

Since his appointment as a Consultant in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Keith has continued his involvement in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, contributing locally in Glasgow as well as through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow.

Currently, Keith holds the position of lead clinician for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and NHS Forth Valley. He performs a comprehensive range of surgical and endovascular arterial reconstruction procedures. Moreover, he has dedicated efforts to the advancement of an ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy service, emphasizing its application for patients experiencing skin complications related to superficial venous disease and varicose veins.
