He completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery in Newcastle, covering both Plastic Hand surgery and Orthopaedic Hand and wrist surgery. Additionally, he completed an AO Trauma fellowship in Texas, USA. His educational background includes a BSSH Diploma in Hand Surgery from the University of Manchester (2015-2017) and an FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (2009-2014).
During his training he spent 3 years at the Wolfson Wohl Cancer Research Centre in Glasgow undertaking clinical and laboratory-based research to better understand chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cancer Sciences, and he is actively involved in clinical research, and has published extensively in scientific and medical journals.
