Mr. Brown is a highly skilled specialist knee surgeon renowned for his expertise in both sports injuries and degenerative conditions of the knee.

Mr. Brown offers a comprehensive range of knee surgery services, catering to the diverse needs of his patients. He is committed to a patient-centred approach to care, prioritising shared decision-making on surgical treatments to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Education and Experience

Mr. Brown undertook his surgical training in the West of Scotland and began his practice as a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. His international training includes fellowships in Perth, Western Australia and Melbourne, Australia focusing on advanced knee surgery techniques.

At Elanic, Mr. Brown specialises in various treatments, including ligament reconstruction following knee injury, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the knee, limb realignment, partial and total knee replacement surgery.

Publications and Teaching

Mr. Brown contributes regularly to academic research. He has published numerous papers in peer reviewed orthopaedic journals.
He has co-authored a textbook chapter on knee surgery in McRae’s Elective Orthopaedics textbook.
He attends conferences regularly to stay up to date with the latest techniques.
Mr. Brown is a member of the post-graduate training committee for the West of Scotland and is actively involved in training Orthopaedic Surgeons.
He is a member of the surgical education board at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
